Women Effect Organization is deeply honored and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside communities in Tanzania through our current community-based program. Our work has taken us to football grounds, road construction sites, newly developing bus terminals, and emerging markets across Mbeya, Sumbawanga, Iringa, and Songwe regions.
Our journey began with a strong commitment to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), recognizing that informed, empowered, and protected communities are essential for sustainable development. Through this program, we have continued to raise awareness and support communities in addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV), HIV prevention, child abuse, and sexual harassment, while promoting dignity, equality, safety, and access to essential health information and services. With humility, we are proud to have reached approximately 3,000 women and 1,800 men across the four regions. Behind these numbers are individuals, families, workers, young people, and communities whose voices and experiences continue to inspire our work. This achievement would not have been possible without the trust and collaboration of communities and the support of Government authorities and relevant stakeholders. We remain committed to strengthening these partnerships and ensuring that every community member, regardless of gender or circumstance, has an opportunity to live with dignity, make informed decisions, and contribute meaningfully to a healthier and more inclusive society. We are grateful for the journey so far and remain dedicated to serving communities with humility, accountability, and purpose.
